Please Make a note: J. Paule's Fenn Inn is a Non-Smoking Bed and Breakfast , there are no exceptions, if we find evidence of smoking in your room, there is an automatic  $100 extra cleaning charge, plus a charge for any damages your cigarette's may have caused that may need repair.  Because we allow pets, if they cause damages to the room you will be responsible for their actions also.  Dogs can not be in the room alone unless they are kenneled, and can not come down with you at breakfast in the food area inside. Once you leave for the day if they start barking you  must be where you can be reached to come get your dog and take your pet with  you for the day.

Please read over our policies before making a reservation at J. Paule's Fenn Inn Bed and Breakfast, your choice for lodging in Michigan. We are a pet-friendly inn located in Fennville, 5 miles from Saugatuck, and only 18 miles from Holland, South Haven, Allegan and only 45 miles from Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Kalamazoo.

Check-in: after 4 PM (unless other arrangements are made).
Check-out: 11:00 AM.

We will need a deposit of 1/2 down to hold your room if you are planning to pay by cash or we except Visa, MasterCard or Discover to hold your room. (No money orders or cashier checks excepted).
Note: There are no refunds on the deposit of 1/2 down, unless you cancel your reservation (7) days prior to your reservation date.

NOTE: Cash stays always get a 2% discount on their stay  and repeat guest always get a 5% discount on their return visit.

Cancellation: We will try to re-book your room for the days you had reserved. If we can not book your room and you canceled less the (7) days before you reservation date, you will be responsible for the full time you have reserved. A re-booking fee of $25.00 to cover the office costs of initiating the process needed to re-rent your reservation days will be charged to your card.

Note: If you have a family emergency come up just before you arrive, your card will be charged, BUT you will receive a Gift Certificate for the full amount of your stay, that you can YOU can use at a different time, that way you do not lose your money and can still take a vacation.  PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VERY GENEROUS POLICY:  Most B&B'S AND HOTELS,you would simply lose your money.  We do not feel that is fare because we all work hard for our money this way you can come and stay and use your Gift Certificate for any days of your choice and we can pay our bills.

NOTE: Most of the time in the summer, if you let us know soon enough, there is no problem with re-booking. The shorter the cancellation notice, the less likely your room will be re-booked. There is a $25.00 re-booking fee charges of our time.

If you cancel your reservation less than seven days from your arrival date and we are unable to re-book your room you will be responsible for the full cost for the day(s) that you had reserved.

Two-night minimum stay June - October. We do make exceptions if someone books a Saturday - Sunday to make the two-day requirement. Please call to check, someone may have booked a Thursday - Friday to meet the two-day minimum stay. During the week day  Monday - Thursday one day bookings are O.K..
For Holidays we have a 3-day minimum stay on either a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or a Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We often run specials where the third day is discounted, so please call for that information or click on to our "Specials" page.

After You Check In:

Once you have checked into your room, that room is yours, whether you use the room or not. If you have to leave for any reason, your money is not refundable (refer back to cancellation policies). We can not be responsible for personal or business matters that may come up that may cause you to leave early.

NOTE: If, upon your request, we are able to find someone to re-book the room, you would not be charged. except for the time stayed, plus the $25.00 re-booking fee. The likelihood of that happening is slim.

We have to have some strong rules to protect us from loosing our livelihood. We are sure you can understand why this must be a firm policy with no exceptions.

Pet Friendly Policies *Not all room are allowed to have pets. The West Suite is not pet friendly. Your loving pet must be good around other people and enjoy other dogs (like ours). Pets(s) must be kept under control at all times. Before bring your pet into the Inn always come in first before just walking in with your pet(s). Please have your dog well groomed (All loving pets are). You are bringing your dog to a strange place and that can be very scary for some pets. Bring their things with them. Please bring your security kennel to put them in if you don't wish to take them with you on your day's adventure. If they end up being barkers or whiners, you will have to come back and get them and to take them with you so as not to disturb our other guests.

Visit Water Color Pet Portraits Fine water color portraits of your beloved pets! After your arrival, we would appreciate it if you would take your dog to the backyard behind the tree line or along our quiet side street to relieve themselves. Plastic bags are available to clean up after your pet's walk around our yard. We would prefer you not bring your pets to the breakfast area. Some guests may feel uncomfortable with them there. Some guests may be intimidated or fearful of dogs that are not on leashes, so while walking the grounds, please keep them under control. Our dogs are enough to handle. There is a $20.00 charge per day for each loving pet you bring. If you dog sleeps with you on the bed(s)and the bedspread needs to be dry- cleaned the extra charge of $20.00 will be added to your charges.
